How we check

Short version: we read the vendor's own page, we write down the date, and we leave a blank when the vendor leaves a blank.

Where the numbers come from

One source only — the vendor's public pricing page. Not review sites, not resellers, not last year's blog post. Each row in our table links to the page it came from.

When we check

The first of each month. We keep the old file, so the record builds into a price history rather than a single snapshot. A month we miss is a month we can never recover, so the date matters more than the commentary.

What “not published” means

It means we looked and the number was not there. It does not mean the product is expensive, cheap, or bad. Several good tools sell through a sales call. We flag it because a buyer comparing options deserves to know which vendors will make them get on the phone.

What we will not do

When we do sign up

We are working through the free trials one product at a time. When we publish anything about the inside of a product, we will say which account we used and when. Until then, this site reports what vendors publish, and says so.
